radiating disperses form

radiating condensing

the outward glow loosens what was solid: radiance disperses form, the way sun takes frost.

imagery · sun and mist
· emergence
something new arrives

what arrives finds the field loosening.

the radiance has been dispersing form; what was solid here is thinning into openness. into that loosening, something arrives, and it finds room: the dissolving made space before the new thing needed it.

dawn burns the frost from the field it lights. arrival and dispersal are one weather; the openness receiving the new is the same event as the old form letting go.

&
· threshold
the balance reaches its tipping point

the balance tips as the form lets go.

a balance reaches its tipping point in a field where radiance disperses form. the structure that held the balance has been thinning, and the tip and the thinning arrive together: what the form no longer holds, moves.

lightning comes when the built charge outgrows its holding. the tip did not need forcing; the dispersal was already underway, and the moment came when it came.

&
· coupling
each shapes the other

each shapes the other as the old form thins.

each shapes the other in a field whose forms are dispersing. the shaping between them is the durable thing here: structures around the pair loosen, and the exchange itself carries on.

aurora holds pattern in a sky with no solid parts. what the two of them make together outlasts what either stood in; the relationship is the form the dispersal leaves.

&
· boundary
an edge forms

an edge forms as the mist burns off.

the radiance disperses form, and in the clearing an edge forms: as the mist thins, a true line comes visible behind it. the dispersal takes what was vague, and the edge remains, exact.

the horizon appears out of morning haze. losing the loose form and gaining the drawn line are one motion; the field is more legible than it was.

&
· yield
pressure meets no resistance

the thinning field gives, and the light keeps passing.

pressure arrives on a dispersing field and meets no fixed opposition. what remains of form gives way easily, already loosened, and the radiance keeps passing through everything, including what pressed.

cirrus is a cloud at ease with its own thinning. the field's answer to pressure and its answer to light are the same openness.

&
· settle
the field finds its level

what dispersed settles fine and even.

the field finds its level after the radiance has dispersed the form. what was one solid thing lies distributed now, fine and even, everywhere at once. nothing left the field; the form became field.

dusk lays the day's loosened gold across everything equally. the level was reached by dispersal, and the evenness is its signature.

&
· return
something comes back

what comes back finds the field open.

something comes back to a field whose old forms have thinned. the structures it left are open ground now, and the return moves through them freely; nothing here holds the shape of a closed door.

moonlight crosses a cleared sky. what dispersed released everything it had enclosed, and the return receives that release as welcome.
