every reading turns one motion and one force. their meeting is one of seventy, and each of the seventy has one answer, written before you asked.
this is the oldest way a book of readings can work. the i ching has carried a fixed response for every one of its sixty-four hexagrams for three thousand years; the coins only choose the page. the turning keeps that faith with seventy pages of its own. the draw selects; it writes nothing.
the wheels above are the whole book in motion. every time a motion passes a force, that meeting's page already exists. nothing is random that you did not write.
each chapter holds one motion and the seven forces that can find it. the feeding pairs run first, the checking pairs after, and the wheel begins where it ends.
